Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerard Forelli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Dwyer!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dwyer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Forelli looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Forelli is trying to control Dwyer's posture but Dwyer avoids it.
Forelli prevents Dwyer from moving into mount.

Forelli explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Michael Dwyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Forelli wants to clinch up but Dwyer keeps it at a distance.

Forelli closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dwyer quickly recovers to half guard.
Still in half guard, Forelli seems content to control.
Dwyer tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Dwyer keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Forelli lands strikes from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dwyer tries to kick Forelli off but Forelli keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Dwyer looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Forelli thows a huge punch but Dwyer dodges it nicely.
Dwyer is trying to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dwyer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Forelli scores with a couple of nice shots.

Dwyer looks gassed!
Forelli seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Forelli working Dwyer over with strikes.
Forelli throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Forelli will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Forelli is working for a kimura but Dwyer is defending it quite comfortably.
Forelli lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Forelli drops an elbow to the side of Dwyer's head.
Forelli scores with a big shot! Dwyer's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Dwyer! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
