The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soldier tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Fasaani counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Soldier darts in trying to clinch
and Fasaani counters with a nice uppercut.
Fasaani misses with an uppercut.
Soldier throws a lazy uppercut

and Fasaani counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Soldier's guard now.
Fasaani won't allow Soldier to get back to his feet.
Soldier is wriggling around but Fasaani manages to pass to half guard.

Fasaani seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Soldier does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Soldier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fasaani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fasaani lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
