Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Silvers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Wiet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silvers might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Con te Partiro. Wiet is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mia - Paper Planes. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Silvers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Wiet!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiet tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Wiet has Silvers up against the cage in a clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wiet just misses with a elbow thrown towards Silvers's brow.
Wiet with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Wiet misses with a knee strike.
Wiet misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Silvers.
Wiet lands a knee to the head.
Wiet tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wiet with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Wiet with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Wiet is pressed up against the cage. Silvers has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wiet down to the mat. Wiet avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Silvers closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Silvers is working for a submission of some sort.

Silvers is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Silvers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wiet doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silvers.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silvers stops Wiet from getting back to his feet.
Silvers not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Silvers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Silvers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wiet's head.
Silvers controlling the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wiet is looking to escape.

Silvers wants to work for an arm triangle but Wiet is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Silvers maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Wiet could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Silvers has cracked it and Wiet is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Silvers!
