Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Brewster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lando Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: dx. Lando Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lando Jones!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brewster counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Brewster shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Brewster was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brewster is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard.

Brewster lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

Adam Brewster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lando Jones.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to stand up but Brewster is controlling him.
Brewster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

A jab from Brewster does it's job there.
Brewster throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brewster lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Brewster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Brewster shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Brewster landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jones tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Brewster lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Brewster misses with a head shot. Jones uses the momentum to regain guard.

Brewster prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Brewster tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brewster controls his leg.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brewster is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jones is keen to just control but Brewster is a slippery customer.

Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brewster defends it well.
Brewster is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Jones prevents Brewster from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jones frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Brewster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jones tries to control but Brewster wriggling away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
