Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lars Olsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Shepherd!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsson lands a jab to Shepherd's midsection.
Shepherd drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Shepherd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shepherd with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Olsson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We're going to have a standup here because Lars Olsson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Lars Olsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Olsson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Shepherd takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Olsson feints and then cracks Shepherd's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shepherd down.
Olsson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Olsson tries a head kick but it misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shepherd sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Poor strikes thrown by Shepherd there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shepherd unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Olsson wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Shepherd celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
