The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parinias misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kamei.
Parinias throws a sloppy body shot
and Kamei counters with a straight right hand.
A decent looking cross lands there for Parinias.

Parinias shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kamei manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kamei is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Parinias seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bryan Parinias hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Parinias cracks Kamei with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kamei lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Parinias shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kamei napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parinias has an Americana. Kamei didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Parinias is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Parinias hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
