The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonov cracks Brent with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Brent uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leonov.

Brent shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leonov sprawls well. Leonov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brent gets slowly back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leonov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Leonov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leonov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Leonov tries to close the distance and clinch but Brent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Vadim Leonov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Leonov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brent has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Brent is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Well Leonov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
