Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Claude Van Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Gaziev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Damn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Van Damn throws a head kick but Gaziev moves out of range.
Van Damn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gaziev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Van Damn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Van Damn feints and then cracks Gaziev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gaziev down.
Van Damn takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Jean Claude Van Damn has been cut.
A head kick misses from Van Damn.
Van Damn ducks under a wild hook from Gaziev.
Gaziev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Van Damn could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Van Damn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gaziev.
Van Damn throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A nice leg kick lands there from Van Damn.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gaziev has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Van Damn.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gaziev.

and Gaziev counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Van Damn!

Van Damn is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Van Damn has left one of his arms exposed and Gaziev doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Van Damn screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
