Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Sharkan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Rourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharkan comes into the arena with Bitch Please III blaring out of the sound system. Mickey Rourke has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mark Sharkan's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rourke misses with a body punch
and Sharkan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Mickey Rourke has been cut.

Rourke drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rourke is stalling in the full guard.
Sharkan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rourke stands and steps away. Sharkan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Rourke shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rourke showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rourke should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Rourke decides to stand up.

Rourke just misses with a punch to the body.

Rourke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sharkan's guard.

Rourke gets to his feet - Sharkan follows without any prompting.
Sharkan tries to clinch up

and Rourke counters with a single leg into guard. Sharkan didn't expect that.

Rourke tries to free his leg and advance position but Sharkan is retaining full guard.
Rourke throws a strike but Sharkan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rourke can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rourke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sharkan manages to get himself to full guard.

Sharkan is working an open guard so Rourke takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A shot to the body from Rourke misses

and Sharkan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sharkan.
Rourke is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Rourke fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sharkan tries to circle away but Rourke has him pinned against the cage.
Sharkan is breathing heavily.

Sharkan gets control of Rourke's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sharkan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Rourke has hold of Sharkan's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sharkan seems comfortable defending it but Rourke has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sharkan is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sharkan is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rourke couldn't care less - he's delighted!
