Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Sanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hawaiian Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanderson comes to the cage accompanied by Pantera - This Love. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Sanderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hawaiian Saint!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanderson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Saint backs up against the cage.
Sanderson throws a sloppy body shot
and Saint counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Saint misses with a double jab
and Sanderson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Sanderson misses with a low kick.
Sanderson misses with a left hand
and Sanderson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sanderson misses with a looping right.
Sanderson misses with an uppercut
and Saint counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Saint uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sanderson.
Saint loads up on a big right hand but Sanderson slips the punch.

Sanderson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Saint tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sanderson is in Saint's guard.

Sanderson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Saint looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Saint looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Saint!

Saint decides to stand back up.

Sanderson throws a shot from downtown. Saint moves away and avoids it.
Sanderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sanderson throws a leg kick which misses Saint's front leg but catches the back leg as Saint tries to avoid it.
Saint stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Saint wants it to stay on the feet.

enabling Sanderson to counter with a crisp jab.
Ryan Sanderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanderson misses with an uppercut
and Saint counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Saint takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Saint misses with an uppercut. Sanderson saw that one coming.
Saint throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanderson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Saint looks to throw the jab but Sanderson is out of range.

and Sanderson counters with an inside leg kick.
Sanderson takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Sanderson feints and as Saint raises his hands in defense, Sanderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sanderson wants to control from the top but Saint keeps moving.

Sanderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanderson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Saint's guard.

A close round but Hawaiian Saint will probably get the nod.

Sanderson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Saint has time to react.

Saint regains half guard there - taking advantage of Sanderson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Sanderson wants to pass the guard but Saint is defending well.
Sanderson is working hard here to advance position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saint wants to get back to his feet.

Sanderson is taking a breather. Saint says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sanderson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Saint!
Sanderson can't control as he wanted to and Saint manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Sanderson wants to free his trapped foot but Saint is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Saint is trying to maintain the position but Sanderson is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Sanderson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sanderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Sanderson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Sanderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saint tries to avoid it but Sanderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saint to the ground. Saint escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sanderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Saint sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sanderson somewhat.
Saint lands with a straight right. Sanderson didn't see that one coming.
Sanderson looks to land a combination but Saint avoids it well.
The crowd cheers as Saint lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sanderson doesn't seem phased though.

Sanderson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Sanderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saint's head.
Saint keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Sanderson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Saint defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Saint regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sanderson.

We're going to have a standup here because Ryan Sanderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Saint counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sanderson thinking.

Hawaiian Saint comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Saint has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
