Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Persi throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.
Brown closes the distance looking to clinch
and van Persi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Brown throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. van Persi was covering up waiting for the punch and Brown finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Brown looking to pass the guard.
Brown would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Brown works over van Persi with some ground and pound from guard.
Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but van Persi has wrist control.
van Persi is looking for a triangle but Brown pushes his legs off easily.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but van Persi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Brown thows a big elbow that misses.
van Persi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
van Persi is stalling here. Brown is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! van Persi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brown has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Brown fails to land a wild elbow strike.
van Persi tries to buck Brown off but Brown is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown working the ground and pound but van Persi is defending the strikes.
van Persi is looking for a sweep.
Brown cracks van Persi with a big right hand but van Persi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
van Persi regains half guard.
Brown is trying to control. van Persi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Brown is thwarting van Persi's attempts to control the position.
Brown has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can van Persi defend it? Brown steps over the head and cranks it - van Persi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Brown!
