Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Groslouis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmidt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. B.Y.O.B by System of a Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Howard Schmidt told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt circles away from the clinch attempt
and Schmidt counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Mark Groslouis has been cut.
Groslouis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Groslouis rushes Schmidt and presses him up against the ropes.
Schmidt trying to control the position but instead, Groslouis has worked for underhooks and has pushed Schmidt into the ropes.
Groslouis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Schmidt blocks it with crossed arms.
Schmidt lands with a short shot to the head.
Groslouis misses with a knee strike.

Groslouis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Schmidt is leaning against Groslouis and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Schmidt's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Groslouis misses with a knee strike.
Schmidt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Groslouis.
Groslouis is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Schmidt lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Groslouis backwards.
Schmidt lands a damaging elbow.
Groslouis prevents Schmidt from breaking the clinch.
Schmidt wants to break the clinch but can't.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Schmidt looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Schmidt comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Groslouis content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Groslouis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Groslouis moves to clinch but Schmidt breaks away
and Schmidt counters with a nice uppercut.
Groslouis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Groslouis tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Schmidt counters with a right hand to the body.
BOOM! Schmidt lands a beautiful left hook that drops Groslouis. Groslouis tries to recover but Schmidt is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Groslouis lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
