PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Maskiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leatherface Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maskiev might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Berzerker. The crowd seem to be enjoying Killer's choice of entrance music: Lamb of God - Walk with me in Hell. Leatherface Killer will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maskiev tries to avoid it but Killer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maskiev to the ground. Maskiev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Maskiev clinches up with Killer and pushes him back against the cage.
Killer goes for a takedown attempt but Maskiev pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Killer shoots in but no luck this time.
Vlad Maskiev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leatherface Killer.
Killer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Killer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Killer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Killer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Killer looks gassed!
Maskiev gets full guard.
Killer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Maskiev lands a decent punch to the body there.

Killer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Maskiev looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Maskiev has control of Killer's left arm, preventing Killer from doing any damage.

Killer has gone for a leg lock! Maskiev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Killer's guard.

Maskiev decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Maskiev bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Killer tries to buck Maskiev off but Maskiev is having none of it.
Killer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Maskiev content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Killer manages to work his way to half guard, despite Maskiev's best efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maskiev is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Killer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maskiev.

Killer is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Maskiev is tapping! Great win for Killer!
