Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Han Oslovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vince Westhaven!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oslovski feints and as Westhaven raises his hands in defense, Oslovski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Oslovski trying to control the position from guard on top but Westhaven is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Oslovski gets to his feet - Westhaven follows without any prompting.
Oslovski misses with a takedown
and Westhaven counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Oslovski drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Westhaven stops Oslovski from passing to mount.
Westhaven tries to buck Oslovski off but Oslovski is having none of it.
Oslovski is looking to take a break and control but Westhaven is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Westhaven gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Oslovski takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Westhaven is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Oslovski really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Westhaven.

Oslovski has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Westhaven has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Westhaven is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Oslovski gets his way!

Westhaven wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Oslovski has him pressed against the cage.

Oslovski gets control of Westhaven's arms and successfully pulls guard. Oslovski will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

and Westhaven counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Oslovski is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Oslovski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Westhaven sprawls well. Westhaven wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Oslovski gets slowly back to his feet.

Oslovski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Westhaven looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Oslovski wants to control but Westhaven is keeping him busy.

The referee asks Oslovski politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Oslovski prefers to stall for the moment though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oslovski decides to stand back up. Oslovski steps back and let's Westhaven get back to his feet.

BOOM! Oslovski connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Westhaven is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Oslovski is aware though and is defending well.
Oslovski controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Oslovski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Westhaven's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Oslovski takes the fight into the clinch.
Westhaven tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Oslovski smiles and moves away.

Oslovski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Westhaven's half guard.
Oslovski is nestled in close to Westhaven, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oslovski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Han Oslovski.
Oslovski throws a quick inside leg kick.
Westhaven slaps away a takedown attempt from Oslovski, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oslovski is defended easily by Westhaven.

Westhaven tries to keep at a distance but Oslovski has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oslovski is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Oslovski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Westhaven regains guard.

Westhaven working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oslovski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oslovski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Oslovski won't allow Westhaven to get back to his feet.
Oslovski wants to control from the top but Westhaven keeps moving.
Oslovski stays in close to Westhaven's body and controls the position.
Oslovski looking to sit in guard and control but Westhaven gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Oslovski has his feet on Westhaven's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Han Oslovski showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oslovski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
