Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Wesley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haas Pratt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesley's entrance music is Eminem - Go to Sleep. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Timmy Wesley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Haas Pratt!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pratt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pratt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wesley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pratt thinking.
Pratt shoots in for a takedown but Wesley shows good takedown defense.
Pratt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wesley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Timmy Wesley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haas Pratt.
Wesley cracks a nice hook into Pratt's ribs.
Wesley takes a swing at Pratt's ribcage but misses.
Pratt has his takedown stuffed
and Wesley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pratt thinking.

so Pratt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pratt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Pratt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pratt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wesley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pratt has managed to get both his arms back between Wesley's legs - danger averted.

Pratt drops back looking for a leg! Wesley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wesley manages to kick Pratt off! Pratt jumps back into Wesley's guard.
Pratt wants to control from the top but Wesley keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Wesley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pratt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pratt drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wesley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wesley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wesley!

Pratt is trying to control Wesley's posture but Wesley avoids it.
Pratt wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
A lull in the action here as Wesley stalls from top position.
Pratt tries to improve position but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You can see the frustration on Pratt's face as Wesley controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pratt is looking to reverse the position.
Wesley controls the position.
Pratt tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timmy Wesley dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Wesley throws a right hand that misses

and Pratt counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wesley can't keep his opponent in guard - Pratt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Pratt is working for a kimura but Wesley is defending it quite comfortably.

Wesley is defending against the submission attempts here by Pratt.

Pratt is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wesley won't allow Pratt to pass to mount.
Wesley is looking to control Pratt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wesley avoid being mounted?
Wesley is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pratt looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pratt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wesley defends it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pratt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wesley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pratt.

Pratt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wesley is just riding it out for now. Pratt eventually gives up the hold.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pratt is working for a submission of some sort.

Wesley looking for submissions off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haas Pratt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Pratt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wesley's waist but Wesley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pratt off to one side.

and Pratt counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wesley!
Wesley is in all sorts of trouble here.

Pratt jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Wesley is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Wesley and Pratt has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Pratt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pratt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wesley wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Haas Pratt has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pratt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wesley has escaped the position, nice work there.

Pratt is trying to get an arm triangle but Wesley is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Pratt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Pratt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Pratt swings around for an armbar but Wesley sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pratt's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pratt has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wesley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pratt.

Wesley is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pratt is trying to get back to his feet.
Wesley working away.
Pratt is looking for a sweep.

And that's the end of the fight!
Haas Pratt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pratt has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
