Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marciano has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walter does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Walter misses with a takedown attempt - Marciano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Walter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Walter lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marciano wants to stand and escape but Walter is having none of it.
