A head kick by Flora misses
and Mercer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Flora circles away from the clinch attempt.
A punch combination from Flora misses.
Mercer tries to clinch up.
Flora throws a sloppy head kick
and Mercer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mercer.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Flora has had enough of the clinch but Mercer keeps him there for the moment.
Mercer fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mercer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Flora walks away with a smile on his face. Mercer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Mercer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Mercer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Flora throws a lazy head kick
and Mercer counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Mercer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Flora uses from the top position.
Flora wanted to stand there but Mercer had control of the position.
Mercer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flora doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mercer is tightening it up a little... Flora has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Flora reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Flora taps out! nice BJJ there by Mercer!
