Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Baltar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Benevides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baltar comes into the arena with Even Flow blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benevides keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Benevides stalks Baltar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Baltar's face. Baltar staggers backwards, shaken.
Baltar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Benevides as he avoids it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
