Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Cannonball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cannonball comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - God`s Gonna Cut You Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannonball avoids a kick to the body.
Cannonball bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Richardson's head backwards.
Nice cross by Cannonball.
Cannonball throws a looping overhand right but Richardson ducks down to avoid it.
Cannonball throws a hook but Richardson blocks it.
Richardson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Richardson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cannonball.

Cannonball throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Richardson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cannonball is in Richardson's guard.
Richardson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richardson is controlling Cannonball's posture.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cannonball seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mr Cannonball wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Richardson.
Cannonball moves out of range of the body kick from Richardson.

Cannonball scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Cannonball throws a strike but Richardson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Cannonball not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Cannonball stands up over Richardson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cannonball wants to control from the top but Richardson keeps moving.

Mr Cannonball has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Cannonball looks to land a left hand but Richardson moved out of range nicely.
Cannonball throws a left and a right that both miss
and Richardson counters with a nice body kick.
Cannonball is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Richardson looks for the body kick but Cannonball saw that one coming.

Richardson throws a push kick but Cannonball slaps the foot to one side.
Cannonball takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

A head kick lands from Richardson that sends Cannonball to the canvas. Cannonball tries to scramble back to his feet but Richardson brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Mr Cannonball has been cut.

Richardson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cannonball is trying to escape and Richardson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cannonball is forced to tap! Nice work there by Richardson! Very nice indeed!
