Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jizzy Krup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny McGrimshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGrimshaw is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pharoahe Monch - Simon Says. Kenny McGrimshaw has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jizzy Krup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kenny McGrimshaw!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrimshaw waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Krup.

Krup bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McGrimshaw is trying to get back to half guard.
Krup tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Krup passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McGrimshaw!

Krup goes for an armbar but McGrimshaw turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McGrimshaw.
McGrimshaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krup swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGrimshaw postures up.
McGrimshaw trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Krup keeping moving, preventing McGrimshaw from controlling successfully.
McGrimshaw is in close to Krup's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Krup wants to sweep but no luck.

Krup lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McGrimshaw!

Krup working for a guillotine from mount but McGrimshaw is in no mood to give up.
Krup wants to take his opponent's back but McGrimshaw doesn't allow it.

Krup has hold of McGrimshaw's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McGrimshaw manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Krup goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McGrimshaw is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McGrimshaw won't allow Krup to sweep him here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGrimshaw wants to control from the top but Krup keeps moving.
Krup is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Krup prevents McGrimshaw from improving his position.
Krup tries to pass the half guard into mount. McGrimshaw knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Krup passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McGrimshaw!

Krup is working hard here to advance position.

Krup goes for an armbar but he's not got it… McGrimshaw turns into him and now he's in Krup's guard.
McGrimshaw is looking to work some ground and pound but Krup has wrist control.
Krup is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Krup wants to advance to full mount but McGrimshaw doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Krup trying to move into half guard but instead McGrimshaw has managed to sweep!
Krup is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McGrimshaw wanted to stand there but Krup had control of the position.

Krup is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Krup passes to side control.

Krup is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McGrimshaw knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on McGrimshaw's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jizzy Krup dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Krup clinches up with McGrimshaw and pushes him back against the cage.

Krup has clasped his hands together around McGrimshaw's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Krup goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McGrimshaw rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Krup's guard! Nice work there by McGrimshaw!
Krup manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Krup works to advance to full mount. McGrimshaw defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Krup moves to the back position.
McGrimshaw is breathing heavily.

Krup manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McGrimshaw manages to get himself to full guard.
Krup works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Krup passes to side control.
Krup passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McGrimshaw!
Krup wants to take McGrimshaw's back but he can't do it this time.

Krup looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Krup get's back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Krup looks to land a combination. McGrimshaw sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Krup pushes McGrimshaw up against the cage in a clinch.

Krup has hold of one of McGrimshaw's legs. McGrimshaw is fighting the takedown attempt but Krup gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Krup is pushing down on McGrimshaw's leg trying to pass to half guard. McGrimshaw is fighting to maintain full guard but Krup has managed to sneak the leg through.

Krup has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can McGrimshaw defend it? Krup steps over the head and cranks it - McGrimshaw is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Krup!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jizzy Krup!
