PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lucky Charm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and james wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). wade has chosen awsome as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucky Charm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, james wade!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Charm, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Charm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Charm throws a head kick that misses.

Charm gets in close and instigates a clinch.
wade is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Charm breaks the clinch.
Charm fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
wade wants to clinch.
Charm misses with a two punch combination.

Charm lands a left and a right that send wade crashing to the mat, dazed. Charm thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

wade is still on wobbly legs! Can Charm finish him?
wade shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Charm as he avoids it easily.
wade avoids a punch combination nicely.
wade seems to have recovered his senses.
Charm fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Charm throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. wade tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Charm is in wade's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

wade is trying to keep Charm in close.
Charm wants to stand but wade is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
wade working a defensive guard but Charm passes into half guard.
Charm seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
wade trying to hold on to Charm's head to control him but Charm postures up.
Charm tries to stand but can't do so whilst wade controls his leg.

Charm decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
wade on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Charm lands a left and a right that send wade crashing to the mat, dazed. Charm thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Charm shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! wade is on queer street and Charm is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
