The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Marshall misses
and Arlovski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Arlovski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marshall but Marshall pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Arlovski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marshall.
Marshall throws a nice looking combination but Arlovski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Marshall tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Arlovski swivels and escapes.

Arlovski seems to be looking for submissions.

Marshall manages to get to full guard.

Arlovski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Marshall manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Arlovski has Marshall in his guard.
Marshall must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Arlovski has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Marshall is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Arlovski.

Marshall wants to control the pace but Arlovski is squirming around nicely.

Marshall moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Arlovski has worked his arm free - good work by Arlovski!
Arlovski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Marshall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Marshall is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Arlovski is trying to escape and Marshall transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Arlovski is forced to tap! Nice work there by Marshall! Very nice indeed!
