Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Mackey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mackey.
Mann closes the distance but Mackey moves to the side

so Mackey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mackey stays in close to Mann's body and controls the position.

Mackey is looking to advance position but Mann won't allow it.

Mackey is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Mann defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
This has been an exciting period of action!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Mackey is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Mackey gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Mackey gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Mackey apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Mackey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mann was covering up waiting for the punch and Mackey finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mackey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mann swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mann scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Mann counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Gabriel Mann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vic Mackey.

Mackey has hold of Mann's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mann manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Mann could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mackey stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Gabriel Mann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mackey tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mackey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mann has managed to get both his arms back between Mackey's legs - danger averted.

Mackey has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mann! Can he survive? No! He's out! Mackey gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
