Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robot Joe!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos digs a good body shot into Joe's ribs.
A clash of legs there as Santos blocks the low kick.
Joe lands with an overhand left.
Pablo Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Joe throws out the jab.
Joe pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Santos swings away with a body shot that misses

and Joe counters with a nice double leg into side control. Santos won't be happy with that.

Joe happy to just control the position for now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robot Joe hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Joe doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That's time! Santos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Robot Joe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Santos swings for the body but Joe moves out of range.
Joe fakes the leg kick and cracks Santos in the body.
Santos throws a right hand that misses

and Joe counters with a shoot takedown. Santos fights it but they end up in guard.

Joe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Santos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joe has managed to get both his arms back between Santos's legs - danger averted.
Joe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Joe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Santos stands up and beckons Joe to his feet.

Joe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Santos tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Joe is in Santos's guard.
Joe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pablo Santos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Joe wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
