PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hesutu Nayati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saulo Evangelista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nayati comes to the cage accompanied by Eric Burdon Delares WAR - Mother Earth. Saulo Evangelista is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hesutu Nayati!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saulo Evangelista!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nayati throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Evangelista counter with a right hand.
Evangelista with a poor takedown

and Nayati counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Evangelista utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Nayati working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Nayati seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nayati's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Nayati seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Evangelista for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Hesutu Nayati wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nayati looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Evangelista with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Evangelista is staying active underneath Nayati, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nayati lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Nayati cracks Evangelista with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Nayati postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Evangelista badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Nayati around the waist but Nayati pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Nayati is the winner by TKO! Nayati jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hesutu Nayati!
