Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Goebbels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jed Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul lands a two punch combo.
Goebbels misses with a takedown

and Paul counters with a takedown into side control.
Goebbels is looking for a sweep.
Paul working the ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Paul connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Goebbels some visible discomfort.
Goebbels can't do much from the bottom here.
Goebbels gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Goebbels tries to get to full guard but Paul has control of the leg.

Goebbels looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Paul is keen to just control but Goebbels is a slippery customer.
Paul has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Goebbels in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Paul really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goebbels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Goebbels is looking to get to half guard.
Paul can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Goebbels is looking to escape.

Paul goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Goebbels turns into him and now he's in Paul's guard.

Goebbels is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Paul is on top in guard.
Paul must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Paul is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Paul got a little sloppy there for a moment and Goebbels has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Paul has managed to get both his arms back between Goebbels's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goebbels looking for a guillotine here but Paul defends easily.

Paul content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Goebbels has locked up a guillotine! Goebbels's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Paul is holding on here and Goebbels must be using up a lot of energy. Paul has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Goebbels gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
