The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fagundes tries to clinch but Tremblay moves away
and Fagundes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fagundes fails with the takedown
and Tremblay counters with a stiff right hand.
A combination from Fagundes does no damage.
Tremblay misses with a left hand
enabling Fagundes to counter with a crisp jab.

and Tremblay counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tremblay.
Fagundes wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tremblay is now in half guard.
Tremblay thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fagundes's head.
Tremblay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fagundes can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fagundes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Fagundes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tremblay.
No luck for Tremblay with that takedown attempt.
Tremblay avoids a punch combination nicely.

Fagundes feints and as Tremblay raises his hands in defense, Fagundes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fagundes wants to stand but Tremblay is controlling his posture from full guard.

Fagundes is looking to advance position but Tremblay has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Fagundes is looking to improve his position but Tremblay isn't that keen on the idea.

Fagundes sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tremblay lands a nice short elbow.
Fagundes has a hand on Tremblay's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Tremblay takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Fagundes is desperately trying to improve his position but Tremblay has a good base and remains in mount.
Tremblay looking to control but Fagundes is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Fagundes is in a horrible position here. Tremblay smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Fagundes is squirming around, avoiding Tremblay's attempts to control the action.

Tremblay's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
