Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tikal Mohiney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head has chosen The Gates of Love as his entrance music. Tikal Mohiney had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohiney misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Head gets the takedown into side control.
Head tries to score with some ground and pound. Mohiney controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Head takes a little break here. Mohiney wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Head wants to control but Mohiney is keeping him busy.
Head misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Mohiney is looking to reverse the position.
Mohiney wants to get back to his feet but Head drags him back down.

I looks like Head might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Head is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mohiney has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mohiney!
Mohiney seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Mohiney wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Richard Head wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mohiney throws a nice looking combination but Head bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Richard Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Head gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Head looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Head uses his free foot to push down on Mohiney's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mohiney.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Head's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Head tries to close the distance and clinch but Mohiney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Head drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Head jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Richard Head hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Richard Head comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Head has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
