Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Billy Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kien Ngo!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ngo drives through with a takedown into guard.
Moss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ngo trying to control but Moss is working from the bottom.
Ngo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Moss wants to stand and escape but Ngo is having none of it.
Moss trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Moss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ngo slips nicely into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moss is controlling Ngo's position as best he can from this difficult position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kien Ngo.
Moss looks to land a combination but Ngo avoids it well.

Ngo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Moss misses with a few strikes there.

Ngo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moss sprawls well initially but Ngo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ngo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Ngo is looking for a kimura but Moss is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ngo to get the leverage.
Moss on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moss tries to get out of the position.

Moss has a hand on Ngo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ngo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Ngo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Moss's face.

Ngo stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moss uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ngo.

Moss gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ngo stands and throws Moss's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ngo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Moss seems a little lost for a moment, as Ngo dominates the positioning.

Ngo stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Ngo maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Moss could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ngo has cracked it and Moss is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ngo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kien Ngo!
