Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maikkel Mikkelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Severn has chosen White Zombie - Electric Head: The Extasy (Pt 2) as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikkelsson misses with a body shot.
Severn throws a head kick that misses.
Mikkelsson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Mikkelsson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like Severn is going to stand back up.
Severn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mikkelsson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Severn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mikkelsson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Severn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mikkelsson is working away from the top position though.

Mikkelsson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Severn is trying to control but can't.

Mikkelsson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Severn sees it coming and defends easily.
Mikkelsson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mikkelsson is thwarting Severn's attempts to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Trent Severn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Severn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
