enabling DonaVan to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Maxo Bosterdoox has been cut.

DonaVan gets caught flat footed, as Bosterdoox shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bosterdoox is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Bosterdoox drops back looking for a leg! DonaVan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and DonaVan manages to kick Bosterdoox off! Bosterdoox jumps back into DonaVan's guard.

Bosterdoox loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bosterdoox drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but DonaVan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bosterdoox has DonaVan in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bosterdoox looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bosterdoox is on top in guard.

Bosterdoox thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
DonaVan wants to sweep here but Bosterdoox controlling him for the moment.

Bosterdoox drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bosterdoox jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
DonaVan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bosterdoox drops back, looking for a kneebar! DonaVan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. DonaVan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from DonaVan!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bosterdoox struggling a bit here.
Bosterdoox regains half guard.
Bosterdoox is breathing heavily.
DonaVan winds up and cracks Bosterdoox with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

DonaVan is just content to waste time from the top position. Bosterdoox takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Bosterdoox is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bosterdoox working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DonaVan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DonaVan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

DonaVan is sitting in close to Bosterdoox's body. Bosterdoox has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! DonaVan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, DonaVan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bosterdoox.
