Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Ipkis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stephan Hunt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stanley Ipkis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephan Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ipkis is desperately trying to improve his position but Hunt has a good base and remains in mount.
Ipkis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ipkis tries to get out of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fighters circle momentarily. Ipkis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ipkis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Ipkis closes the distance and clinches up with Hunt, looking for a takedown. Ipkis pushes Hunt against the cage but Hunt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Ipkis counters with a series of strikes. Hunt will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hunt finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Ipkis closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hunt quickly recovers to half guard.

Ipkis is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hunt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hunt shrugs it off.
The referee warns Hunt that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


That kick from Ipkis tenderised Hunt's leg. Hunt is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hunt tries for a takedown but Ipkis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like Ipkis is going to stand back up.

Ipkis is nestled in close to Hunt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
