Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Peruzzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Flamenco!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flamenco has closed the distance and engaged Peruzzi in a clinch.
Flamenco has Peruzzi pushed against the cage.
Flamenco misses with the head strike.
Flamenco controlling the action here for a moment.
Peruzzi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Flamenco is trying to drag Peruzzi to the mat but Peruzzi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Flamenco tries for a takedown. No joy.
Flamenco pushes off an throws an elbow but Peruzzi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Flamenco lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Flamenco looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Peruzzi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Let's hope that Flamenco has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Flamenco's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Flamenco lands a nice short elbow.
Flamenco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Flamenco passes to side control.
Flamenco in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Peruzzi wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Flamenco tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flamenco has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Flamenco decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Peruzzi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Flamenco counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Peruzzi thinking.
Flamenco looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Danny Peruzzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Flamenco.
Flamenco doesn't manage to clinch there - Peruzzi circles away.
Peruzzi lands a jab to Flamenco's midsection.
Flamenco looks gassed!
Peruzzi misses with a body shot.
Flamenco throws a right hand that Peruzzi ducks under and follows up with a left that Peruzzi also avoids with ease.
Good exchange - Peruzzi coming out on top.
Flamenco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Peruzzi scores with a punch to the head.
Peruzzi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Flamenco at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Flamenco walks into a jab.


Flamenco is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peruzzi scores with a hook to the body. Flamenco takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Flamenco is still on wobbly legs! Can Peruzzi finish him?
Peruzzi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Flamenco seems to have recovered his senses.
Peruzzi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Peruzzi's corner calls for a 1-2. Peruzzi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nice cross by Peruzzi.
Peruzzi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Flamenco momentarily.
Danny Peruzzi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Peruzzi scores with the left hand. Flamenco knows he should have avoided that one.
Peruzzi lands a slapping body shot.
Peruzzi drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Flamenco right on the button. Flamenco goes down! Peruzzi follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Peruzzi gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Peruzzi!
