Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between thiago Pedace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Babas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedace gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Babas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pedace is trying to break free.
Pedace works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Pedace is working Babas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

No joy there for Pedace, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pedace turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Pedace has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pedace shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Babas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pedace postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Babas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pedace controls the pace.
Pedace decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Babas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Babas throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pedace counters with a shoot takedown. Babas fights it but they end up in guard.

Pedace got a little sloppy there for a moment and Babas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pedace has managed to get both his arms back between Babas's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that thiago Pedace will probably get the nod.

That's time! Pedace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Pedace feints and as Babas raises his hands in defense, Pedace changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pedace gets to his feet - Babas follows without any prompting.
Pedace gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pedace tries to land a knee to the head but Babas blocks with his arms.
Pedace gets control of Babas's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pedace will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Pedace is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Babas stands up over Pedace, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Babas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pedace is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pedace has escaped and now he's on top!

Babas wants to get back to his feet but Pedace is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pedace seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Babas for as long as he can get away with.

and Babas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Babas.

Babas is pressed up against the cage. Pedace has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Babas down to the mat. Babas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Babas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
