The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valuev just misses with a punch to the body.
Valuev misses with a right hand
enabling Michaels to counter with a crisp jab.
The fighters circling - Valuev throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Valuev throws a right and a left that Michaels avoids nicely.

It looks like Abraham Valuev has been cut.
Valuev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Michaels's waist but Michaels gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Valuev off to one side.

Valuev falls off balance throwing a combination
and Michaels counters with a low kick, right behind Valuev 's knee.
Valuev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Michaels swivels and escapes.
Valuev takes one to the chin there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Michaels cracks a nice hook into Valuev's ribs.
Valuev is breathing heavily.
Michaels throws a quick inside leg kick.
Michaels lunges at Valuev with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Valuev's hand.
Michaels scores with a hook to the body. Valuev takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Michaels lands a hook that stumbles Valuev back into the cage. Michaels follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Valuev to the canvas! Michaels pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Valuev has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
