PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie's entrance music is Boris Brejcha - Openminded. A fine choice. Stephen Rollins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie avoids a kick to the body.
Gracie needs to keep his hands up - Rollins had a free shot at his head there.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice sprawl there from Rollins as Gracie shoots in.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rollins napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gracie swings around for an armbar but Rollins sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but Rollins pushes his legs off easily.

Rollins gets to his feet - Gracie follows without any prompting.
Rollins throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.

Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rollins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie thows a big elbow that misses.
Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rollins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Rollins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
