The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hard wants to clinch
letting Edvall counter with a right hand.
Hard tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Edvall connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hard shoots in for a takedown but Edvall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Edvall is breathing heavily.
Hard closes the distance but Edvall moves to the side
and Edvall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hard lands a jab to the nose.

No joy there for Hard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hard wants to clinch up but Edvall keeps it at a distance.

enabling Edvall to counter with a crisp jab.

letting Edvall counter with a right hand.

Hard tries to close the distance and clinch but Edvall swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Edvall shoots in and gets a takedown into Hard's guard.

Hard is looking for a triangle but Edvall pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Edvall is sitting in close to Hard's body. Hard has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Edvall is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Edvall is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hard.
