The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shields clinches with his opponent.
Shields drops down looking for an ankle pick but Marquez pulls his leg out and moves away.
Marquez swats away the attempt to clinch by Shields.
Nice uppercut lands for Marquez. That snapped Shields's head back.
Shields keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Marquez misses with an uppercut.
Shields fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marquez, pushing him back against the cage.
Marquez is trying to push Shields away but Shields has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Shields is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Marquez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Marquez is looking to break free of the clinch but Shields has double underhooks.
Marquez breaks from the clinch.
Marquez misses with a body shot.
Shields takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Marquez grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Shields takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Marquez cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
