Simmons comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Take A Ride On My Bologna Pony! ! ! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Simmons.

Simmons closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simmons tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silk knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Silk looking for submissions off his back.
Simmons wants to control but Silk is keeping him busy.
Silk throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Simmons not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Simmons tries to pass to full mount but Silk defends it.
Simmons content to control rather than advance.
Silk pushes Simmons off looking to stand but Simmons dives back in and keeps control.
Simmons is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Silk is looking to control Simmons's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silk avoid being mounted?

Silk moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Simmons cracks Silk with a solid left hand.

Simmons avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Simmons wants to control from the top but Silk keeps moving.

Silk has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Simmons off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Silk avoids the head kick by Simmons.
Simmons shoots in looking for a takedown. Silk tries to sprawl out of it but Simmons keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silk throws a looping overhand right but Simmons ducks down to avoid it.

Simmons moves away from the strike by Silk.
Silk lands a right hook to the body.
Simmons misses the body punch

and Silk counters with a shoot takedown. Simmons fights it but they end up in guard.
Silk throws a big right hand that misses.
Silk with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silk wants to get up but he can't break Simmons's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Silk lands a couple of digs.
Silk throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Silk drops back, looking for a kneebar! Simmons looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Simmons looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Simmons!
Silk is breathing heavily.
Simmons lands a few punches from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A lull in the action here.
You can see the frustration on Silk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Silk is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Silk is looking for a sweep.
Simmons is looking to take a break and control but Silk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Silk takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Silk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Silk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Simmons pulls his head out easily.
Simmons wants to take a breather but Silk is having none of it.
Silk pushes Simmons off looking to stand but Simmons dives back in and keeps control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silk is not content to let Simmons control the position.
Simmons lands with a punch from half guard.
Simmons wants to pass to mount but Silk is defending the position.
Simmons frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Simmons cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Simmons prevents Silk from getting the reversal.
Simmons pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Silk really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Simmons landing strikes from the mount and Silk is in trouble!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Simmons wants to control the pace but Silk is squirming around nicely.
Simmons scoring with strikes but Silk is staying in there.
Silk is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Silk dives in and grabs Simmons's left leg, looking for a takedown. Simmons pushes down on Silk's head and hops out.

Silk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Simmons wants to control from the top but Silk keeps moving.
Simmons slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Simmons is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Silk has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Simmons is looking to defend but Silk has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Simmons! Silk pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Simmons taps out and this one is all over!
