The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Murphy tries to avoid it but Knight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Murphy to the ground. Murphy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Murphy looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Knight fails with an attempt to clinch.

Knight throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Murphy was covering up waiting for the punch and Knight finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Knight stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Knight is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Brandon Knight hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Knight leaves Murphy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Knight escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Murphy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Murphy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Murphy somewhat.
