Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Peruzzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gota Yo!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yo misses with a low kick.
Peruzzi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A thudding body kick lands there by Yo!

Yo pushes Peruzzi up against the cage in a clinch.
Yo effectively controlling the action here.
Yo putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Peruzzi in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Peruzzi wants to get back to striking at distance but Yo won't allow it.
Yo missing with knees to the body.
Peruzzi avoiding damage as Yo throws knees to the body.
Yo lands a good knee to the midsection. Peruzzi won't want to take too many of those.
Yo using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Peruzzi has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Yo lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Yo digs a right hand underneath Peruzzi's ribcage. Peruzzi let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A right handed body shot lands from Yo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yo lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Yo gets through Peruzzi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Yo slows down the pace here.

Peruzzi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yo has him pressed against the cage.

Yo throws a knee to the head but misses.
Yo keeps control of Peruzzi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Peruzzi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Yo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Peruzzi's efforts to push away.
Peruzzi on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Peruzzi wants to break free but Yo has control.
Peruzzi is trying to break the clinch but Yo is controlling him.
Peruzzi tries to circle away but Yo has him pinned against the cage.
Peruzzi managing to block the knees to the body from Yo.
Peruzzi is trying to push Yo away but Yo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Peruzzi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Peruzzi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Peruzzi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Yo at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Peruzzi smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Peruzzi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Peruzzi lands with a good body shot.

Peruzzi lands with a cross.

Yo is rocked!
Peruzzi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Yo is still on wobbly legs! Can Peruzzi finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Peruzzi scores with a body shot.
Peruzzi feints with a jab and clips Yo right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Yo is sent crashing into the canvas and Peruzzi leaps in for the kill! Yo tries to get to his feet but Peruzzi is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Yo is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Peruzzi!
