PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Crayzle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justus Sheehan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crayzle comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - Johnny I hardly knew ya. Sheehan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Worldwide Choppers kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jason Crayzle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Justus Sheehan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justus Sheehan!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheehan misses with a takedown attempt

and Sheehan is countered with a crisp right hand from Crayzle that sends him to the canvas! Crayzle follows him to the mat into side control.


It looks like Justus Sheehan has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Justus Sheehan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

and Sheehan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Sheehan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Crayzle to the mat! Crayzle manages to get full guard.
Crayzle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sheehan on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Justus Sheehan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

so Sheehan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Crayzle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Justus Sheehan was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Crayzle stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crayzle wants it to stay on the feet.

Sheehan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Crayzle avoids it really well and circles away.
Jason Crayzle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justus Sheehan.

and Sheehan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Crayzle !

Sheehan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Crayzle can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Crayzle is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Sheehan misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
