Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacob Becks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Wood!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Becks tries to clinch up

and Wood counters with a takedown into side control.
Wood is staying tight to Becks's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Becks tries to bench press Wood off him but Wood keeps the position.
Becks struggling a bit here.

Wood decides to stand back up. Wood steps back and let's Becks get back to his feet.
Becks moves to clinch but Wood breaks away

and Wood counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wood.
Knees to the body from Becks.

Becks breaks from the clinch.
Becks tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Wood counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Becks's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Becks controlling the position.
Wood is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Wood keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Becks's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Becks keeping moving, preventing Wood from controlling successfully.
Wood slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nathan Wood.
Becks darts in trying to clinch
and Wood counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Becks is breathing heavily.
Becks moves to clinch but Wood breaks away
and Wood counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Wood is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Becks's half guard.
Becks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wood is working away from the top position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Wood is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Becks defends it well.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Wood has eaten all the pies!

Wood stands up out of the half guard.
Becks wants to clinch

and Wood counters with a single leg into guard. Becks didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Becks looking to control.
Wood scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Wood chips away with some ground and pound.
Wood controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Becks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wood pushing down on Becks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Wood frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Becks has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee is taking a good look at Becks as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Wood!
Becks takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Wood controls the action.
Wood lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Wood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
I really don't envy Becks right now.
Wood biding his time, controlling Becks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathan Wood dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Wood closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wood tries for a takedown. No joy.
Becks is trying to drag Wood to the mat but Wood just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Becks lands a damaging elbow.
Becks is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wood gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Wood pulls Becks into guard.

Wood pushes a forearm under Becks's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Becks is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nathan Wood!
