Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Troest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Olic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troest comes to the cage accompanied by Cinderella Man - Eminem. Jonas Troest is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonas Troest!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Filip Olic!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olic with a poor takedown
and Olic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Olic tries to clinch up
and Troest counters with a nice uppercut.

Troest clinches.
Troest is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Olic gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Troest just leaning against Olic, taking a breather.
Troest fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Olic drops down looking for an ankle pick but Troest pulls his leg out and moves away.
Olic tries to grapple but his opponent circles

so Troest counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Olic keeping moving, preventing Troest from controlling successfully.
Olic keeping full guard, as Troest tries to pass.

Olic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Olic holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Filip Olic was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Olic counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Olic works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Troest moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Olic wants to control from the top but Troest keeps moving.

Troest is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Olic defends well.
Olic stands up over Troest, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Olic is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Troest wants to get back to his feet but Olic is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Troest manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Olic tries to lock up and control but Troest gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Troest tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Olic keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Olic is trying desperately to improve position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Olic can do anything to dispel that myth.
Olic tries to hold on but Troest pushes him away.
Troest controlling the pace for now.
Troest has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Olic's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Olic stuffs the takedown.

Troest takes the fight into the clinch.
Troest working Olic over with knees to the body.
A right handed body shot lands from Olic.

Olic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Olic throws a sloppy body shot
and Troest counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Troest tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Olic paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Troest gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Olic won't allow Troest to sweep him here.
Troest will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Troest is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Olic showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Troest has momentary wrist control but Olic slips an elbow through the middle.

Troest pushes Olic off and gets back to his feet.
Troest lands with a slapping head kick.
Jonas Troest is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Olic wants to clinch.
Olic tries to clinch

and Troest counters with a takedown into side control.
Troest advances to full mount.
Troest prevents Olic from getting the reversal.
Olic is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Olic sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Olic wants to get back to full guard.
Troest working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Olic wants to control but Troest is keeping busy.

Troest is looking for a kimura but Olic is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Troest to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Troest tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Olic blocking the ground and pound attempt from Troest.
Olic gets full guard.
Troest loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Troest stands and steps away. Olic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Olic is looking to clinch but Troest is avoiding it.
Troest misses with a takedown attempt
and Olic counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Jonas Troest overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Olic is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Troest is trying to keep Olic in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Troest counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Troest.
Troest is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Olic is keeping busy.

Olic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Olic counters with a shoot takedown. Troest fights it but they end up in guard.

Troest is adopting a defensive guard.
Troest is looking to stand back up but Olic counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Troest.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Troest manages to get back to half guard.
Troest tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Olic has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Olic controlling the position easily from mount.
Olic's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

And that's the end of the fight!
Filip Olic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Troest has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
