Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gio Van Der Hoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Just Ted (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gio Van Der Hoef had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 267.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The key to victory for Gio Van Der Hoef has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Just Ted fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Van Der Hoef sprawls well initially but Just Ted persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Just Ted is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Just Ted passes to side control.
An elbow from Just Ted crashes against the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Van Der Hoef is breathing heavily.

Just Ted is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Van Der Hoef is trying to escape and Just Ted transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Van Der Hoef is forced to tap! Nice work there by Just Ted! Very nice indeed!
