The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ebonhand wants to improve his position but Malone is controlling well.
Still in half guard, Malone seems content to control.
Ebonhand trying to hold on to Malone's head to control him but Malone postures up.

Malone decides to return to a standing position.
Ebonhand could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Malone keeping moving, preventing Ebonhand from controlling successfully.

Ebonhand avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ebonhand wants to stand but Malone has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ebonhand trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Malone wants to stand up but Ebonhand is controlling him.

Malone throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ebonhand escapes and throws Malone's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Malone can't do much from the bottom here.
Malone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ebonhand. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A bone on bone clash there as Ebonhand blocks the leg kick.

Malone instigates a clinch.

Malone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ebonhand keeps the fight on the outside.
Malone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Ebonhand counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Malone throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ebonhand uses it to pass to side control.

Ebonhand gets to mount! Malone was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Ebonhand lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Malone hang on?

Ebonhand is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Ebonhand!
