The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Head quickly recovers to half guard.
Vera is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Head works his way to full guard. Good work.
Vera preventing the sweep.
Vera wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Head is on top in guard.
Vera throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Head drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Head jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vera is trying to control the position but Head postures up.
Vera is looking for a triangle here but Head uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vera is working to avoid the ground and pound but Head connects with a decent elbow.
Head in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Vera is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
