Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Muraco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Muraco will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, David Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Muraco!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muraco moves into the clinch successfully.
Wilson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Muraco avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Wilson is trying to stall.
Wilson digs a right hand underneath Muraco's ribcage. Muraco let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Muraco goes for a takedown attempt but Wilson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Muraco shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

It looks like David Wilson has been cut.
Wilson blocking the ground and pound.

Muraco looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Muraco is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wilson is surviving well by controlling Muraco's body position as best he can.

Muraco jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Wilson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Wilson and Muraco has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Muraco is trying to ground and pound but Wilson uses the momentary lack of control by Muraco to regain half guard.
Wilson wants to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Muraco down.

Wilson is looking to take a break and control but Muraco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Wilson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Don Muraco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Muraco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Muraco looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wilson has picked Muraco up and slammed him! Muraco can't keep hold of the triangle and Wilson manages to pass to side control!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Wilson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Muraco has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, with Muraco on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Wilson is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Muraco is looking for a choke. Wilson gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Wilson manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Muraco is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

David Wilson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wilson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
