Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Bush will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Bush!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush leaves Moss with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bush lands the left hand.


It looks like Kevin Moss has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Moss.
Bush misses with a low kick.

Moss closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bush to the mat! Bush manages to get full guard.
Moss seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moss trying to control the position from guard on top but Bush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bush is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Moss stands up from Bush's guard - Moss perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bush throws a shot from downtown. Moss moves away and avoids it.

Oooooh!!! Bush has knocked Moss down with a huge combo! Bush steps away and waves a wobbly Moss back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Moss is rocked!

Moss bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Oh Moss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moss wants to take a breather but Bush manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Moss.
Moss wanted to stand there but Bush had control of the position.
Moss seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moss prevents Bush from getting back to his feet.
Moss stays in close to Bush's body and controls the position.
Moss's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Moss has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Kevin Moss wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bush.
Bush throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moss.

Moss gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Moss tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Moss fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Moss. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bush's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Moss throws a head kick but Bush moves out of range.
Jay Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moss misses with a few strikes there.
Bush misses with an uppercut. Moss saw that one coming.
Moss doesn't manage to clinch there - Bush circles away.
Moss throws a sloppy head kick and Bush moves out of range easily.
Moss on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Bush waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Moss.
Bush throws a right and a left that Moss avoids nicely.
Bush misses with a two punch combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bush lands a nice shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moss.
Moss takes one on the button.


Kevin Moss's cut is getting worse.
Bush lands a really nice looking cross but Moss seems unphased.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moss shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bush Rushes Moss and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Moss is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Bush Piles on the pressure and Moss crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Bush!
