PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corey Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okami is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Baka Survivor. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pot throws out the jab.
Okami swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pot counters with a left and a right that stings Okami.
Okami misses with a jab, cross combination.
Okami falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pot fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd cheers as Pot lands an impressive looking overhand right. Okami doesn't seem phased though.

and Okami takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Okami misses with a combination

and Pot counters with a left and a right that hurts Okami! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Pot jumps into full mount!

Okami is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pot lands a heavy elbow.
Okami is still in real trouble! Can Pot finish him?
Pot raining down hammerfists from mount.
Pot postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Okami in real trouble here! The ref calls for Okami to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
